Halloween Parade

Madeline's a little young to go trick-or-treating, but our neighborhood has a parade to kick off the festivities, and Madeline loved looking at all of the people before it was time to get back home and ready for bed. (She can sleep through the night now and Mommy and Daddy really don't want to mess with that!!)

Madeline was drawn to this candy bar because it was shiny, but she has no idea what deliciousness she holds in her little hand... maybe next year.

Tiny Dancer

One of Dave's patients gave Madeline this little ballerina outfit. As you can see, it's a little snug, but it's still way cute.

Close Story Time

Madeline pays a lot more attention to the books at story time now, and reads along with what's in the book. She even likes to help turn the pages.

Pumpkin Patch 2

Quite possibly the very best picture from the entire day.

And another family picture. Great day!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went on a mini field trip to a local pumpkin patch. The weather was gorgeous as you can see... sunny and in the 70s. Madeline was very interested in looking at all of the activity around her, and did lots of brow furrowing while she took it all in. She definitely had fun, though and we picked out the perfect little pumpkin to take home.

Great family picture! Madeline's shirt says "Peek-A-Boo"

Super Baby

Madeline's learned a new trick... Dave gets her to fly, and the funniest thing is she sticks her legs straight back. She loves it.

Making Cookies

Madeline has a little sling that I used to carry her sometimes when she was smaller. For some reason she prefered the Baby Bjorn only with Dave, so this was a good hands-free solution for me. We haven't used it in a while, until this weekend, when I made some things in the kitchen, and Madeline wanted a front seat to all of the action. Because she's starting to get lots heavier (18lbs already!!) we got the sling out again. I thought she would squirm and hate it because she's so much bigger, but I was surprised to see she actually loved it. She sat very quietly and calmly in it for over an hour - most of the time with her little hands folded neatly - and enjoyed helping me make some cookies and sausage cheese balls. It was great fun and very yummy.

Maddy and Daddy

Gee, wonder where Madeline gets that hair! I took this shot last week after Dave woke up from a nap on the couch.

Then I took this picture of them watching football this weekend. Madeline is really into football, of course, just like her dad.

Close up tummy time

Madeline practices tummy time regularly, and we're very proud to say she rolled over today! We don't have a picture of that (we'll capture it eventually) but I did get this close-up of her in the nursery doing a bit of tummy time last week.

Mini Bear

Madeline has a little mini bear (thanks, Grandma) that rides with her in her carseat. He's reminiscent of the larger bear that she looks at for comfort in her crib on her way to sleep. I had to capture a few moments with him.

This one was taken a few weeks ago in the backseat of the car... she looks to be sizing the little guy up...

These next 2 were taken on a walk we went on around the neighborhood this week. Completely not posed... this is actually how she sat in her seat with him tucked safely under her arm.

Then she looked down to check him out. So sweet.

MooGoo

Katie Zurcher got Madeline this cute little cow toy that has a belly full of beads that rattle when you pull this string. She can't pull it down to activate it herself just yet, but she loves to hold on while you pull the other side to make it work. When I gave it to her I said it's a cow and cows say "moo." As one of Madeline's favorite things to say is "goo," she said "MooGoo" and now that's the toy's name. As you can see in this little clip, she loves MooGoo - thanks Katie!!
