Rachel's smile wasn't always quite this big, but she kept her spirits up during the long process.
As prepared as we were (and if you know Rachel, you know that nesting kicked in about the start of the second trimester) Friday's visit with our OB brought with it a surprise. Our baby was ready to go! Rachel was admitted while I zipped home to grab a few things. Labor started and continued on into the next morning. We were both very thankful to have our Doula, Pat, assisting with the entire process. Despite hours of good pushes, Baby Bell ultimately came to us via a very controlled C-section. We are thankful for the great team of doctors and nurses that helped bring our baby into the world.
How is it possible that you look this good during labor? Please tell me this was taken the second after you were admitted.
